Job summary

Help Group is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead all fundraising, donor engagement, and philanthropic partnerships. The role drives sustainable revenue growth through major gifts, grants, institutional giving, and events, while partnering with leadership to enhance long-term impact.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of fundraising leadership, proven success in donor stewardship and data-driven strategy, and will supervise the development team to advance the mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressive fundraising leadership experience with major gifts, grants, and partnerships.
  • Proven success executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase revenue.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and donor stewardship.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication with major donors, foundations, and boards.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and CRM/database acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy to grow fundraising.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization and integrate it into planning.
  • Partner with the CEO and board to create and execute an annual fundraising plan.
  • Oversee major campaigns, grants, corporate partnerships, and planned giving initiatives.
  • Use data analytics to guide strategic decisions and enhance donor engagement.
  • Build and lead a high-performing development team.
