Job summary

The City of Seguin seeks a Director of Golf to lead all golf operations at Starcke Park Golf course, including operations, shop, events, and development programs. You will drive revenue, manage expenses, and deliver a high-quality golf experience for patrons.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong business acumen, and a track record of profitable, service-oriented golf operations in a municipal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major course work in business, marketing, social entrepreneurship, or related field.
• PGA Class A Member or ability to acquire within 36 months.
• Class C Texas driver's license.
• TAB C Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all daily golf operations, including tee-time management, reservations, check-in, carts, and pace of play.
• Develop and monitor the golf operations budget and provide regular financial reports.
• Enhance customer service and develop programs to promote the course, events, and promotions.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise golf operations staff and ensure safety and city policy compliance.
• Oversee golf shop merchandising, inventory, pricing, and promotions; manage events and tournaments.
• Develop programs to attract new players and increase facility utilization; manage partnerships with local groups.
