Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or eight years related experience as stated.
• Eight years progressive fire service experience with supervisory duties.
• Completion of FEMA ICS courses within one year; advanced ICS 300/400 preferred.
• Holds and maintains valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Community Risk Reduction Division including enforcement and investigations.
• Acts as City Fire Marshal and oversees fire code interpretation and plan reviews.
• Manages staff, budgets, and daily division activities.
• Coordinates with developers, architects, and city agencies on compliance.
• Directs public education, outreach, and community safety programs.
• Provides leadership training to officers and staff.
