Job summary

The University of Washington's Housing & Food Services seeks a Chief Business & Finance Officer to lead financial health and resource alignment, reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Executive Director of HFS. The CBFO will partner with Information Technology and Husky Card Services to align resources with departmental priorities and university goals.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, governance and risk management, with a strong focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• Seven years of financial leadership experience.
• Experience supervising professional and technical staff.
• Strategic planning, forecasting and analysis; cross-functional leadership.
• Strong communication, including public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for financial and administrative operations, including accounting, budgeting, payroll, procurement, contracts, reporting, internal controls and risk management.
• Lead long-range financial planning, forecasting, capital planning and business modeling.
• Foster cross-functional leadership and partnerships across IT, Husky Card Services and departments.
• Develop and coach a high-performing team with succession planning.
• Perform duties as assigned by senior leadership.
