Job summary

Nanobiosym in Cambridge, MA seeks a VP/Director of Finance & Administration to own all financial, accounting, HR, IT, legal, and administrative operations as the company scales. The role blends hands-on accounting with strategic leadership to support growth and governance.

You will close books, manage reporting to the CEO and Board, and build scalable systems, controls, and processes while partnering with outside counsel and auditors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, operations, and administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Expertise in GAAP, audit preparation, tax, and internal controls; SOX familiarity.
• Working knowledge of state and federal employment law and commercial contracting.
• Track record of implementing systems and processes that scale with a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Deliver timely monthly and quarterly reporting to CEO, Executive Management, and the Board.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash management to support growth.
• Oversee tax filings, internal controls, and close calendars.
