WAHVE is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for Property & Casualty insurance to work from home with a long-term commitment. The role centers on GAAP/STAT reporting, regulatory compliance, and capital management for P&C clients.

You will oversee financial reporting, risk management, and modernization of platforms while leveraging deep insurance industry knowledge. This remote position offers flexible scheduling and benefits.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience in the insurance industry.
• 10 most current years of Property & Casualty (P&C) carrier accounting operations experience with strong background in GAAP & STAT reporting.
• Strong background in regulatory compliance and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee STAT and GAAP financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely statements and disclosures.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities across applicable insurance regulations and reporting standards.
• Develop and execute the organization’s reinsurance strategy and manage related relationships.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management, audit, and governance frameworks.
• Drive modernization of platforms and processes to increase efficiency and reporting capabilities.

We have assignments available to help our Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier clients in Chief Financial Officer (CFO) positions. Responsibilities may include:

• Oversee all STAT and GAAP financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements and disclosures.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities, ensuring adherence to applicable insurance regulations, statutory requirements, and reporting standards.
• Develop and execute the organization’s reinsurance strategy, including evaluating structures, managing relationships and supporting effective risk and capital management.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management, audit, and governance frameworks to enhance financial integrity, operational effectiveness, and organizational oversight.
• Drive modernization of existing platforms and processes, leveraging technology and process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and reporting capabilities.
