Job summary

Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) in Mountain View, CA seeks an Executive Vice President, Finance to lead finance and accounting, reporting to the CEO. You will oversee budgeting, investment management, and tax compliance while guiding strategy and governance across a complex nonprofit portfolio.

You will mentor the Finance and Investment teams, drive financial planning, and partner with the board to ensure accountable stewardship of assets and sustainable philanthropy in the Silicon

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in business or accounting required or equivalent experience.
• CPA certification is highly desirable for leadership in nonprofit finance.
• Minimum of ten years in senior-level finance/ accounting management, nonprofit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of organizational finance and accounting policies.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and investment management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the foundation.
• Supervise the Finance and Investment teams and mentor staff.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and legal/tax regulatory adherence.
• Collaborate with board, CEO, and senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
