Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• Experience supporting a software, SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue business model.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to partner with executive leadership on business strategy and operational decision-making.
• Experience presenting financial insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes.
• Partner with CEO and leadership to evaluate performance and support strategic decisions.
• Develop and monitor SaaS and operational metrics including recurring revenue and profitability.
• Create financial models and business cases for investments and growth.
• Prepare executive, board, and investor reporting packages.
• Improve financial reporting, analytics, systems, and processes to support growth.

About the Opportunity

A growing software company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with executive leadership and help guide the organization through its next phase of growth.

This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys working closely with business leaders to drive decision-making, improve operational performance, and build scalable financial processes. The CFO will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership while overseeing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and overall financial strategy.

We are open to accomplished finance leaders who have served as CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, Director of Finance, or similar leadership roles and are ready to lead a growing organization's finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes
• Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to evaluate business performance and support strategic decision-making
• Develop and monitor key SaaS and operational metrics, including recurring revenue, retention, customer acquisition efficiency, profitability, and growth trends
• Create financial models and business cases to support investment decisions, resource allocation, and growth initiatives
• Prepare executive, board, and investor reporting packages
• Improve financial reporting, analytics, systems, and processes to support continued growth
• Collaborate with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, Customer Success, and other functional teams
• Oversee cash flow planning, financial controls, and risk management activities
• Support strategic initiatives, partnerships, and corporate development activities as needed
• Provide leadership and mentorship across the finance and accounting functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Progressive leadership experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or strategic finance
• Experience supporting a software, SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue business model
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership on business strategy and operational decision-making
• Experience presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Ability to thrive in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader
• Experience within a private equity-backed, investor-backed, or high-growth business
• Board reporting experience
• CPA, MBA, or related professional credentials
• Experience scaling finance processes within a growing organization
