An established industry player is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial operations and ensure the organization's sustainability. This pivotal role involves managing a $7M budget, overseeing compliance with government funding, and enhancing financial processes for a mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial management, grant compliance, and team leadership. Join a compassionate and innovative team dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable populations. If you are passionate about financial strategy and community impact, this opportunity is perfect for you.
For over 50 years, Spectrum Community Services has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families experiencing low-income across Alameda County.
Founded in 1971 as Family Tutorial Services, the organization emerged from a grassroots effort to provide educational support to Spanish-speaking communities in Hayward. Over time, as community needs evolved, so did Spectrum—expanding its services beyond education to address the broader challenges of economic stability, health, and well-being.
Today, Spectrum Community Services remains steadfast in its mission to support vulnerable populations through vital programs that promote self-sufficiency and enhance daily living. Through its Meals on Wheels and Senior Meals programs, the organization ensures that older adults receive nutritious meals and social connection. Its Fall Prevention initiatives empower seniors to maintain mobility and independence, while energy assistance programs such as LiHEAP and Weatherization help families reduce financial burdens and create safer, more energy-efficient homes. Every service Spectrum provides is rooted in dignity, accessibility, and impact—ensuring that the most underserved members of our community receive the support they need to thrive.
At Spectrum Community Services, impact is not just measured by the number of meals served or homes weatherized, but by the lasting change created in people’s lives. The organization’s culture is one of compassion, collaboration, and innovation—bringing together a dedicated team committed to making a tangible difference every day. As Spectrum Community Services continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of its community, it seeks passionate individuals ready to be part of a mission-driven team working to build a stronger, healthier future for all.
