The Governor’s Technology Office (GTO) in Nevada is recruiting an Administrative Services Officer IV to serve as Chief Financial Officer. This senior role directs budget, accounting, fiscal management, financial planning and internal controls for the agency, advising executive leadership on fiscal strategy and resource decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and administering a complex governmental budget.
  • Experience supervising fiscal or accounting staff and establishing internal controls.
  • Experience analyzing service costs and presenting financial recommendations to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the agency’s budget, accounting, fiscal management and internal controls; advise executive leadership on fiscal strategy.
  • Lead development and administration of GTO’s biennial budget, including requests, work programs and projections.
  • Develop rates for GTO services by analyzing costs and funding sources and projected use by partner agencies.
  • Monitor revenue and expenditures and adjust as needed throughout the biennium.
  • Oversee accounting, accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations and financial reporting; manage audits.
  • Supervise Management Analysts and Account Technicians; set priorities and improve fiscal operations.
