Job summary

Avante is seeking a first-in-house Head of Finance in Seattle or New York, reporting to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team. You will own finance, FP&A, capital strategy, and board support, partnering with the executive team to drive growth and strategic choices using AI-driven modeling and analytics.

We expect 8+ years across finance and operations in high-growth B2B software, with fundraising experience and a bias for action.

Qualifications

• 8+ years operating across FP&A, FinOps, revenue or business operations in high-growth B2B software.
• Experience with fundraising and investor/board relations.
• Based in or willing to be in New York or Seattle, on-site four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own the model, planning, and the numbers: forecast, build FP&A, accounting, and financial systems; define and communicate metrics like ARR, NRR, churn, gross margin, cash flow, and LTV/CAC.
• Steward capital and own board and investor relations; tell the ongoing financial and strategic story and represent the finance voice at board meetings.
• Stand up systems and controls to support growth while maintaining momentum and operational rigor.
