Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a college Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, budgeting, administration, and operations across multiple campuses. You will advise the President's Cabinet, coordinate capital and HEAPR planning, and drive financial strategy aligned with the college’s mission.

You will oversee audit, compliance, risk management, and reporting, partnering with state systems, auditors, and the college foundation to secure funds and ensure transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related area required.
• Five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in business, finance, or accounting, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience building partnerships with businesses or educational organizations.
• Expertise in financial planning, budget development, audit management, strategic and master planning, and construction planning.
• Experience using data-informed evidence to analyze issues and implement solutions.
• History of driving innovation and organizational change.
• High standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior.
• Ability to articulate financial matters to diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Master's degree in business, finance, or related field.
• Preferred: CPA certification or licensure.
• Preferred: Experience in higher education, Workday, capital planning, and knowledge of relevant laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for finance, budget, administration, operations, safety and security, facilities, and administrative support across campuses.
• Develop financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and practices aligned with the college's vision and goals.
• Serve as principal financial advisor and ensure accuracy and timeliness of plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Predict financial challenges and opportunities and prepare the institution to address them.
• Oversee annual and long-range operating and capital financial plans and ensure compliance with standards.
