Center for Large Landscape Conservation (CLLC) is seeking a seasoned Chief Finance Officer to lead finance, operations, HR, and IT. The CFO will report to the CEO, draft budgets, forecast, and oversee audits to ensure mission-driven growth.

The role is based in Bozeman, MT with hybrid/remote options within the contiguous US. Ideal candidate brings nonprofit financial leadership, GAAP expertise, grant management, and strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience managing nonprofit finances and grants.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit GAAP and reporting.
• Experience with annual audits and contract compliance.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead strategic financial planning and budgeting.
• Maintain strong controls and financial reporting for the Board.
• Oversee grants, budgets, compliance, and allocations.
• Manage payroll, banking, investments, and contracts.
• Fulfill fiduciary duties, audits, and tax filings.
• Oversee operations, systems, and HR functions.
• Lead a small finance/ops team and foster inclusive culture.
• Collaborate with Executive Team on strategy and growth.
