University of Southern California seeks a strategic leader for the Vice President, Federal Relations role in Washington, DC. The VPFR will advance USC’s federal priorities with Congress, the White House, and federal agencies, translating strategy into coordinated advocacy and action.

Reporting to senior university leadership, the VPFR supervises a small team, liaises with deans and researchers, and travels to Los Angeles several times yearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
• Senior-level knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute USC's federal agenda with Congress, White House, and federal agencies.
• Advise senior leadership on federal policy and funding environments.
• Represent USC with bipartisan relationships across government and university partners.
• Coordinate advocacy, programming, and messaging across USC’s leadership.
