Job summary

Alpha School seeks a Director of Community Engagement to own relationships with families, lead difficult conversations, and champion the school’s nontraditional model. You will align with Guides, defend the program, and manage communications with affluent families across multiple campuses.

Expect to drive campus growth during launch or expansion, foster retention and referrals, and build a vibrant community. This is a high-impact, on-site role requiring relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning high-trust relationships with families, clients, donors, or members.
• Proven ability to make firm decisions with demanding stakeholders.
• Independent ownership of ambiguous relationships or growth outcomes.
• Comfort with AI-powered education tools.
• Strong communication with affluent families.

Responsibilities

• Own the trust, retention, and advocacy of every current family on campus.
• Lead hard conversations and defend Alpha’s model with clarity.
• Coordinate with Guides as parent-facing co-leaders and protect coaching relationships.
• Make real-time judgments in ambiguous family situations and escalations.
• Build campus community through events, partnerships, and networks.
