Job summary

San Antonio Zoo in San Antonio, TX seeks a strategic Chief Experience Officer to direct Operations and Education, elevating guest experience and safety. You will lead a multi-department team, shape programs, and ensure exceptional service across admissions, rides, entertainment, and education initiatives.

You’ll partner with senior leaders to build budgets, policies, and guest-centric experiences, while advancing conservation and community engagement in a dynamic, visitor-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, or related field.
• Ten years of professional operations leadership experience at a large attraction.
• Five years supervisory experience across multiple departments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent guest service and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee zoo operations for rides and public areas.
• Manage admissions and memberships to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Lead Security/EMT coordination and staff training.
• Develop and execute entertainment and educational programs.
• Lead budgeting, policies, and inter-department collaboration to meet goals.
