Job summary

CLAOC seeks a CEO to lead and shape the regional workforce intermediary, strengthening ties with CEOs, boards, educators, and civic partners while expanding funding and engagement to close the mobility gap in Orange County.

The role focuses on strategic vision, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable revenue growth to position CLAOC as the premier workforce innovation partner in the region.

Qualifications

• Senior executive leadership experience in business, nonprofit, or civic sectors (CEO-ready).
• Proven fundraising and revenue-generation track record.
• Strong relationships with CEOs, Boards, and senior executives.
• Experience partnering with engaged Boards; familiarity with Orange County preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and continued evolution of CLAOC.
• Serve as the organization's chief ambassador across business, civic, education, nonprofit and government communities.
• Cultivate peer relationships with CEOs and executive leaders while expanding membership engagement and influence.
• Partner with the Board to establish strategic priorities and activate members as ambassadors and fundraisers.
• Advance sector-based workforce initiatives to improve talent pipelines and opportunity.
• Develop sustainable revenue through memberships, philanthropy, sponsorships, grants and partnerships.
• Build cross-sector coalitions capable of addressing workforce and economic challenges.
