Job summary

CHIC is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer to steward a founder transition and drive a resilient, equity-focused path forward. This leader will build on a strong legacy while introducing fresh energy, structure, and sustainability in a community-rooted nonprofit.

The CEO will oversee strategy, people, finances, fundraising, and mission execution, guiding CHIC's $1.7M operating budget and partnerships with foundations, donors, and public agencies in Denver and statewide.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management or related field.
• Significant senior leadership experience (ED/C-suite) in a sizable nonprofit or mission-driven org.
• Proven fundraising success with donor cultivation and grants experience.
• Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills.
• Commitment to equity, healing-centered practice, and community-led work.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversee founder transition with care.
• Lead staff of up to 10 and ensure high accountability and culture.
• Partner with the Board to advance mission, governance, and financial health.
• Lead fundraising and diversify revenue with major gifts, grants, and earned income.
