Reality Changers seeks a visionary CEO to guide a San Diego-based nonprofit focused on first-generation students and college access. You will lead strategic growth, fundraising, and program impact, collaborating with a passionate staff and an engaged Board to expand the organization’s reach and outcomes.

The role emphasizes equity, sustainability, and community partnerships, with a strong emphasis on transformational philanthropy and leadership in education.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and engaging with diverse communities.
• Senior leadership experience with strategy, operations, and nonprofit finance.
• Proven track record in fundraising and donor relations.
• Experience partnering with Boards on governance and strategic planning.
• Track record building high-performing teams and a collaborative culture.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Ability to navigate change and ambiguity effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership as the organization’s spokesperson and ambassador.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies and donor stewardship programs.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and accountability controls.
• Oversight of programs to ensure alignment with mission and equity.
• Lead talent development, coaching, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Board on governance, strategy, and organizational priorities.
• Drive marketing and public relations to increase regional and national visibility.
