UNIT COMPANY in Anchorage, AK seeks a Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction estimating for complex commercial, industrial, federal, and municipal projects statewide. You will own cost strategy from concept through award, directing a high-stakes bid team in a booming Alaska market.

This on-site role requires deep knowledge of FAR, cold-weather pricing, and subcontractor management, with occasional travel to remote sites.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5–10 years of vertical construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating road-system and remote Alaskan or cold-weather projects.
• In-depth knowledge of government-funded commercial construction procurement rules.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, or ProEst.
• Valid state driver's license with ability to travel to remote project sites.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of dedicated vertical construction estimating experience.
• Demonstrated track record estimating both road-system and remote Alaskan or cold-weather projects.
• In-depth working knowledge of government-funded commercial construction procurement rules.
• High proficiency with digital estimating software including Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, or ProEst.
• Valid state driver’s license with the ability to travel to remote project sites.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 or more years of end-to-end commercial estimating leadership experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience pricing Design-Build and CM/GC project delivery methods.
• Deep professional network and strong familiarity with Alaska regional labor markets and subcontractors.
