Job summary

Jobtailor in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced estimator to manage the bid process for steel projects and prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, equipment, and fabrication costs.

You will collaborate with the Business Unit Leader, General Superintendent, Safety Department, and Quality Manager to develop bid strategies and ensure bid integrity and competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or a minimum of ten years’ experience in the construction industry.
• Minimum of five years of experience in commercial structural steel or miscellaneous metals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and other technical documents.
• Proficiency in using software programs related to structural steel design and estimation
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
