Job summary

The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is seeking a seasoned Chief Estimator in Denver, CO to lead estimating and preconstruction for complex infrastructure projects across the western United States.

This senior role oversees bottom‑up estimating, pursuit strategy, and team development. You will collaborate with executives, field operations, and clients to pursue and win high‑value projects ranging from $10M to $1B+.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil/infrastructure estimating experience.
• Proven experience leading major pursuits valued at $20M–$100M+.
• Expert-level knowledge of bottom-up estimating and cost analysis.
• Experience leading estimating and pursuit strategy, not just individual estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall estimating and preconstruction strategy for complex civil/infrastructure projects.
• Provide strategic leadership for estimating activities while hands-on with major pursuits.
• Identify market opportunities and develop pursuit strategies with executive leadership.
• Influence project selection by evaluating risk, opportunity, and strategic fit.
• Oversee complex pursuits, including estimate development and proposal support with engineering/marketing.
• Lead bottom-up estimate development for major infrastructure projects.
• Conduct internal bid reviews to ensure accurate, competitive estimates.
• Develop innovative estimating and pursuit strategies to strengthen positioning.
• Lead client presentations during pursuit and preconstruction phases.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, trade partners, operations, and leadership.
