Job summary

Lemartec, the MasTec family company, seeks a Chief Estimator to lead the estimation team in the pre-construction phase. You will develop detailed cost estimates, guide Bid preparations, and collaborate with clients, architects, and suppliers to secure competitive bids.

You will supervise estimators, analyze project specs, and drive cost controls and value engineering to ensure accurate, profitable proposals across industrial, aviation, power, and large commercial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field and proven estimator experience.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with estimation software and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the estimations team, guiding training and performance.
• Review plans and specs, conduct site visits to inform estimates.
• Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for projects.
• Prepare and submit bids aligned with specifications and requirements.
• Cultivate vendor/subcontractor relationships for quotes and terms.
• Drive cost control and value engineering throughout pre-construction.
• Leverage software/tools to improve estimation accuracy and speed.
• Present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders clearly.
