Job summary

Loenbro, LLC is seeking a Chief Estimator - Mechanical/Structural to lead a team delivering accurate, competitive proposals for industrial facilities up to $100M. You will oversee multi-discipline estimates across civil, structural, and mechanical work, from bid interpretation to final pricing.

The role emphasizes disciplined estimating practices, governance of reviews, mentoring of staff, and the use of historical data and tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy industrial/process facility estimating and cost control.
• Proven ability to prepare comprehensive proposals with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control practices.
• Willingness to travel periodically to job sites.
• OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to a team of estimators for accurate and timely proposals across disciplines.
• Direct and validate interpretation of bid documents to ensure compliant proposals.
• Develop high-quality, full-scope estimates through standardized processes and reviews.
• Lead estimating staff development, mentoring, and training.
• Establish and monitor estimating systems, data usage, and productivity gains.
• Oversee turnover of estimates to Operations and maintain pricing integrity.
