Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Approximately 10 years of relevant construction experience preferred.
• Strong background in heavy civil construction estimating (infrastructure/utility projects).
• Federal construction/USACE estimating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, MS Office."
• Ability to manage multiple bids and travel up to 25%.
• Valid driver's license and background screening compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating team and oversee bids, cost estimates, and submission processes.
• Establish standardized estimating procedures, cost databases, and bid calendars.
• Review plans, specs, scopes, schedules, and site logistics for accurate estimates.
• Analyze risks, constructability, material pricing, labor costs, and subcontractor bids.
• Manage estimating software, cost databases, and historical project data.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, PMs, ops, engineering, suppliers, and subs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction methods.
• Oversee transition of estimates into project budgets and kickoff pricing.
• Mentor estimating staff to meet deadlines and bid requirements.
