Aufgaben

• Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of estimate.
• Incorporate historical data from POs, subcontracts, and productivity reports into takeoffs and hours.
• Provide technical and industry knowledge on risk, contract management, owner relationships, and vendor partnerships.
• Organize and supervise estimating teams to prepare bids and select vendors or subs.
• Delegate review of project requirements to meet disadvantaged business and minority participation goals.
• Prepare discipline estimates by complete takeoff calculations and quantity requirements from drawings.
• Partner with team to conduct hand-off meetings between pursuit and project management.

Overview

Are you passionate about reducing pursuit costs, quantities and risk? As a Chief Estimator, you will lead pursuit and estimating activities, ensuring that cost efficient quantities and construction practices meet our pursuit, schedule and pricing goals.

What you will be doing

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provides technical and industry knowledge towards risk, contract management, owner relationships and vendor or subcontractor partnerships.
• Organizes and supervises estimating teams to prepare bids, select vendors or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of project to bid.
• Delegates review of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project to meet disadvantages business requirements and minority participation agreements.
• Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.
• Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit team and project management team.

What we are looking for

• Experience leading pursuit and estimating activities for large or complex projects.
