Pulice is seeking an Estimator to prepare project estimates by analyzing specifications and contract plans to ensure cost-effective quantities and methods align with pursuit, schedule, and price goals.

The role involves reviewing proposals, using historical data for unit and hour figures, and providing risk input to the lead estimator. It supports design reviews, hand-offs, and vendor selection to meet cost and schedule targets.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in construction estimating or cost control.
• Beginner knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Developing technical writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and contents of estimate.
• Reviews and incorporates historical data into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provides technical input regarding project risks to the lead estimator for final bid price approval.
• Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of scope of work.
• Monitors client addenda and advises estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
• Assists with design review options and recommends the best solution based on cost and material availability.
• Partners with estimating team to conduct hand-off meetings between pursuit and project management.
• Researches vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes to achieve pursuit and cost goals.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provides technical input regarding project and contract risks to lead estimator responsible for final bid price approval. Reviews final estimate to ensure defined work aligns with overall project schedule and cost goals.
• Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.
• Monitors client addendum and advises the estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
• Assists with design review options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
• Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit team and project management team.
• Researches and recommends vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes of work to achieve pursuit and cost goals.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• 1+ years of experience in construction industry, estimating or cost control preferred.
• Beginner knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software
• Developing technical writing skills.
