Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Head of Enterprise Architecture (Sr Manager, Enterprise Architecture) to lead the software ecosystem behind our cancer diagnostics platforms. Reporting to IT Software Engineering, you will set architectural vision and governance, partnering with business leaders to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.

The role oversees a team of architects, chairs the Architecture Review Board, and shapes investment decisions, roadmaps, and product-team architecture thinking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, or related field.
• 10+ years of information technology experience.
• 5+ years in an architecture role or equivalent leadership.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Establish the mission and vision of the Enterprise Architecture organization.
• Develop and control budgets for Enterprise Architecture to align with IT and enterprise objectives.
• Build, guide and motivate the Enterprise Architecture organization through coaching and mentoring.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to guide investments balancing current demands with long-term vision.
• Define the future-state technology platform and establish strategic roadmaps.
• Grow the architecture community, drive standardization, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
