Job summary

Forge Nano, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the product engineering organization and deliver scalable semiconductor equipment. You will guide architecture, verification, and release while aligning with strategy and customer commitments.

The role requires 15+ years in engineering with at least 7 years in leadership, plus a strong background in systems engineering and cross-functional collaboration. This on-site leadership position is based at our Thornton, CO headquarters.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in complex industrial or semiconductor capital equipment.
• At least 7 years in engineering leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials, systems, or related engineering discipline.
• Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or technical management (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams through product architecture, development, integration, verification, release, and field support.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, design reviews, configuration control, engineering change management, and verification and validation.
• Hands-on understanding of complex equipment involving vacuum systems, gas delivery, automation, controls, software, mechatronics, and process integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executives, customers, suppliers, and technical teams.
• Self-driven, accountable, decisive, collaborative, and goal-oriented in fast-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering organization across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, systems, and process engineering.
• Establish an accountable engineering culture emphasizing safety, rigor, urgency, collaboration, and disciplined execution.
• Develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders through coaching and career development.
• Define the engineering organization, staffing plan, resources, and operating cadence.
• Translate strategy and customer requirements into an executable engineering roadmap.
• Own product architecture and technical roadmap for 200 mm and 300 mm platforms.
• Direct product-development programs from requirements to production transfer and lifecycle support.
• Ensure milestones on schedule and within budget; optimize resources and resolve issues.
• Own product reliability, safety, serviceability, and root-cause resolution.
• Implement configuration management and change control for drawings, BOMs, specs, and software.
• Establish verification, validation, reliability, and qualification plans for transfer to Manufacturing.
