Job summary

Peckham Industries, Inc. (PII) and its Dailey Precast subsidiary seek a Chief Engineer to lead structural engineering for precast concrete products, with a focus on parking structures. You will coordinate internal engineers and subcontractors to deliver compliant, cost-effective designs.

You will ensure codes compliance, mentor the team, support sales and production, and travel up to 10% to NY/Northeast sites. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required, with NE licensure within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• PE license required; must obtain in NE states within 1 year.
• At least 10 years of structural engineering experience with leadership in precast/construction.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Knowledge of precast concrete design and construction practices.
• Ability to reduce costs through efficient design.
• Proficiency in drafting, modeling and engineering software.
• Strong project management and cross‑department collaboration.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the internal engineering team and coordinate with third‑party firms.
• Approve and oversee design of new precast structures (parking garages) and review repair solutions.
• Ensure on‑time delivery, budget adherence, and performance against specs.
• Provide engineering insights during pre‑sales and client proposals.
• Support manufacturing with design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with codes and industry standards; implement QA processes.
• Collaborate with leadership to align engineering with company goals.
