Job summary

BI&A seeks a Chief Engineer to lead design, development, and technical integration for critical network capabilities. You will direct cross-functional teams, shaping architecture and governance across high-security environments to enable real-time data sharing for national security.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and customers to translate needs into robust, scalable solutions while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence in fast-paced programs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
• 15+ years as a senior software engineer or engineering lead.
• Deep and broad technical expertise across network design and implementation.
• Proven ability to define, architect, and lead development of complex network systems.
• Exceptional leadership with mentoring of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with strategic technical planning, road-mapping, and requirements.
• Strong problem-solving to address network performance and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the comprehensive technical architecture and engineering roadmap for a complex suite of tools.
• Serve as the technical arbiter for integrity, security, and survivability of network systems.
• Provide decisive leadership to large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Translate objectives into actionable technical requirements and solutions.
• Engage with Product, Program Management, executives, customers, and partners.
• Drive continuous improvements in engineering practices, tools, and processes.
