Job summary

Leidos seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the AEGIS program’s engineering strategy and execution across data centers, cloud, networking, VoIP, and cybersecurity. The role will influence NASA and Leidos stakeholders and guide modernization initiatives.

The candidate will oversee a broad range of enterprise IT services, drive a technology roadmap, and lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure services meet evolving mission needs with strong governance and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant IT/engineering leadership experience.
• Experience managing a large engineering team within an IT organization.
• Proven track record in strategic planning and driving modernization initiatives.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience executing development programs in an agile environment.
• Ability to influence NASA and Leidos leadership and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and technical leadership across AEGIS technologies including data centers, cloud, networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and collaboration services.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Translate objectives into actionable priorities, plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Ensure engineering work aligns with long-term goals and program governance.
• Develop roadmaps, feasibility studies, business cases, and benchmarks.
• Manage design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and logistics.
• Maintain visibility across projects and ensure clear status, risks, and decisions.
• Coordinate across networks, data centers, cloud, security, and communications.
