Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Space System is seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead within the Electronics and Payloads Division. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD and will support our Eastern Region Engineering Team. The IPT Lead will focus on program execution responsibilities, including developing key technologies and integrating solutions for Space Payload and Ground Systems Division.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases.
• Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts.
• Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership.
• Develop and execute project budgets and schedules, including EVMS, critical path management, EACs, and workload forecasts.
• Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing.
• Work with suppliers and articulate project requirements.
• Brief internal and customer leadership on progress.
• Perform in a fast‑paced environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative settings.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline with 12 years of experience, or 10 years with a Master’s Degree, or 7 years with a Ph.D.
• U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET clearance at time of application.
• Good communication, interpersonal, oral and written presentation skills.
• Leadership experience in at least five of: project planning, cost and schedule management, technology management, risk management, performance reporting, proposals, manufacturing support, vendor selection/management, hardware specification, program staffing.
• Experience in Digital Hardware, Firmware Development and/or Embedded Processing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Lead, IPT Lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function.
• Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing EVMS projects.
• Directly managing or leading engineering teams.
• Fluency with developing and executing project schedules.
• Basic understanding of Design, Manufacturing, and Test processes.
• Problem‑solving experience in a team environment.
• PMP certification a plus.
• Active TS/SCI with counterintelligence polygraph.

Salary & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Employees may also receive long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off for vacation or personal business.

Relocation assistance is not available. The position may be hybrid (80% on‑site, 20% remote). Must live in the local area. This job requires a SECRET clearance at the start and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with SCI. The position is full‑time.
