JOST International Corp is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team focused on landing gear and kingpin innovations. You will guide conception through deployment, including electric controls and mechatronics, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

The role requires 8+ years in design/engineering, strong leadership, and expertise in fatigue analysis, testing, and PLM/DFM. Join a market leader committed to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of design or product engineering experience.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, material fatigue analysis, testing, and validation.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver results.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with PLM, DFM, and EC (engineering change control) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of landing gear and kingpin projects including electric controls and mechatronics.
• Oversee planning, execution, and performance of engineering efforts aligned with business goals and strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define, scope, and prioritize technical requirements.
• Drive design and development of systems ensuring functionality, reliability, and scalability.
• Support validation through test planning, execution, and data correlation with models.
• Advise on technical positions related to field and customer issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
