Job summary

JOST International is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead a team in designing and delivering advanced landing gear and kingpin solutions. The role requires hands‑on project leadership from concept through execution and reports to the Vice President of Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, 8+ years in design or product engineering, and experience guiding multi‑discipline teams through design reviews, validation, and manufacturing integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in design and/or product engineering, with leadership experience.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, fatigue analysis, testing and validation.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience with product lifecycle management and design for manufacturability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers in design and deployment of landing gear and kingpin projects.
• Oversee planning, execution and performance of engineering efforts aligned to strategy.
• Collaborate with product management, quality and manufacturing to define requirements.
• Drive design and development ensuring functionality, reliability and scalability.
• Support validation activities including test planning and data correlation.
