Job summary

UDD Tech Corporation, a defense UAS/UAV manufacturer, seeks a Chief Engineer / Director of Systems Engineering to lead our technical strategy and oversee advanced drone platform development.

You'll own systems architecture, integration, and DoD compliance while guiding cross-functional teams across avionics, RF/C2, mechanical systems, autonomy, and test. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in aerospace/defense or UAS systems engineering
• Deep experience with avionics, RF systems, autonomy, or propulsion
• Proven leadership of 10+ person engineering teams
• Familiarity with DoD procurement and export control frameworks
• Systems integration experience across multi-domain platforms
• Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication with military stakeholders
• US Persons or Green Card holder required

Responsibilities

• Own systems architecture and technical roadmap
• Lead 5+ engineering team leads across avionics, RF/C2, mechanical, autonomy, and test
• Oversee integration of COTS and custom subsystems
• Ensure DoD compliance (ITAR, NDAA, Blue UAS)
• Manage supplier partnerships and payload integration
• Drive performance optimization and mission readiness
• Plan budget and resources for engineering

About the Role:

You'll own systems architecture, integration, and compliance for our next-generation UAS platform. You'll lead cross-functional teams across avionics, RF/C2, mechanical systems, autonomy, and test & integration. This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you drive both strategy and execution.
