Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Consulting Chief Engineer for the Battle Management OU, located in Redondo Beach, CA; El Segundo, CA; or Melbourne, FL.

The role leads a multidisciplinary engineering team across Advanced Autonomy, JADC2, and BAST domains, guiding research, development, and demonstrations from concept to transition. Candidates must hold a STEM degree with extensive experience and an active government clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a related STEM discipline with 16+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 14+ years, or PhD with 12+ years.
• Experience related to air vehicle flight autonomy, mission autonomy, battle management command & control architectures/implementations, or networking and communications technologies.
• Experience interfacing with customers and company leadership; collaborating across business units and with partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for the Battle Management OU.
• Define and control technical requirements; ensure coordination and horizontal integration across projects.
• Interface with the customer and company senior leadership; ensure programs meet engineering standards.
