Job summary

Complete Building Services, CBS, the building operations and facilities maintenance arm of The Donohoe Companies, is seeking a Chief Engineer in Woodbridge, VA. The Chief Engineer must possess strong building operations and systems knowledge and be available for after-hours emergency calls. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Universal CFC certification.
• Solid knowledge of engineering and building systems.
• Experience with BAS, cooling towers, WSHP, gas-fired boilers and hot water heaters.
• Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read blueprints and work independently or in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computer-based reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on building systems.
• Repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Prepare work schedules.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports.
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work daily.
• Prepare and issue solicitations for contractors as needed.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prepare and issue solicitations for the Contractor as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirements
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The Chief Engineershall possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Universal CFC
• Demonstrate working knowledge of engineering and building systems
• BAS, cooling towers, WSHP, gas fired hot water boiler and hot water heater, fire alarm systems
• Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as required
• Ability to read, review andunderstand blueprints
• Ability to workindependently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills for detailed reporting
