Exact Electric in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Chief Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating and preconstruction department, drive bid strategy and growth, mentor staff, and collaborate with project teams to deliver successful electrical projects.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical estimating, leadership experience, and strong NEC knowledge, with a focus on commercial and multi-family work. Hybrid opportunities and full-time commitment are available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• 5+ years estimating commercial and multi-family projects.
• Previous estimating leadership or management experience.
• Strong NEC and Washington State electrical construction practices.
• Experience with design-build and negotiated work.
• Strong understanding of labor productivity and electrical construction costs.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop estimating staff.
• Manage bid assignments, workload, and estimating priorities.
• Prepare conceptual budgets and hard-bid estimates.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Establish estimating standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Review estimates and provide quality control prior to bid submission.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and vendors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, interviews, and presentations.
• Build relationships with GCs, owners, developers, architects, and engineers.
• Work closely with Project Management and Operations during project turnover.

Chief Electrical Estimator

$135,000-$155,000, depending on experience

Seattle, WA | Full-Time

Monday - Friday | 7 am - 4 pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating and preconstruction department, drive bid strategy and business growth, mentor estimating talent, build strong client and industry relationships, and collaborate with project management and operations to deliver successful projects.

• Experience with ConEst, Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel, eSUB, or similar software.
• Established relationships with GCs, owners, and developers.
