Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical construction estimating experience.
• 5+ years in a senior or supervisory estimating position.
• Licensed Electrician or substantial electrical construction background.

• Experience managing multiple complex, high-value bids simultaneously.
• Expert understanding of electrical construction means and methods.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, preconstruction, and conceptual estimating.
• Significant design-build and design-assist estimating experience.

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform accurately under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with estimating software, digital plan-review tools, and preconstruction platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the electrical estimating team.
• Oversee all phases of the estimating and bidding process.
• Review and approve major bids, conceptual estimates, and preconstruction budgets.
• Develop estimating standards, procedures, templates, and departmental best practices.
• Manage conceptual budgeting, preconstruction planning, and preliminary scheduling.
• Support executive leadership with revenue planning and forecasting.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Oversee job walks, pre-bid meetings, and client presentations.
• Manage multiple simultaneous, high-value, and technically complex bids.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Facilitate accurate and organized project handoffs from estimating to operations.
• Provide strategic guidance on risk, constructability, pricing, and bid strategy.
• Promote a positive, dependable, and solutions-oriented team environment.

We are hiring a Chief Electrical Estimator in Salt Lake City, UT, to lead the estimating department and oversee all aspects of electrical preconstruction, conceptual budgeting, and bidding.
