Job summary

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of modern construction principles and building regulations.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications and explain codes clearly.
• Experience supervising inspectors and coordinating trade inspections.

Responsibilities

• Supervises three or more full-time staff and coordinates trade inspections.
• Ensures uniform enforcement of codes and interprets building codes.
• Trains and certifies inspectors for respective trades.
• Investigates contractor and citizen complaints related to code violations.
• Performs complex plan/blueprint reviews for compliance.
