Job summary

Axios is seeking a Head of Live Editorial to lead Axios Live, directing editorial strategy and overseeing onstage interviews, scripts, recap stories and post-event coverage. You will manage editors, bookers, coverage leads, and the Managing Editor, aligning editorial priorities with newsroom needs and brand standards.

You will work with Communications to promote events, maintain Smart Brevity standards, and drive diverse, high-impact live programming across formats.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of journalism or editorial experience, with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Set editorial vision and strategy for Axios Live programming.
• Lead and develop the Axios Live editorial team.
• Oversee onstage interviews, coverage and post-event content.
• Coordinate with newsroom, sales and partnerships for editorially sound programming.
