NASSAU COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BOARD, INC. is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the chief executive and strategic leader. You will advance economic growth, attract capital investment, and create high-quality jobs for Nassau County.

In this role you will oversee fundraising, investor relations, public-private partnerships, and workforce development initiatives while leading staff, budget, and board relations to ensure sustainable impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in economic development, business development, executive leadership, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability in fundraising, investor relations, and revenue generation.
• Knowledge of business recruitment, retention and expansion, job creation, and capital investment.
• Strong understanding of public-private partnerships and government relations.
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, partnership development, and project management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• A bachelor's degree in business, economic development, public administration, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement NCEDB's strategic plan and lead initiatives that attract new businesses and capital investment.
• Advance business recruitment, retention and expansion, site readiness, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Establish measurable goals for job creation and economic impact.
• Lead and grow NCEDB's private-sector fundraising, investor development, sponsorships, and long-term sustainability.
• Cultivate and retain investors; develop new funding sources with the Board guidance.
• Develop public-private partnerships with businesses, developers, and government entities.
• Build relationships with corporate decision-makers and site selectors; manage incentives and resources.
• Maintain partnerships with employers and educational institutions to address workforce needs.
• Oversee operations, staff, budget, and board relations; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
