Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing or related field; 2+ years of related professional experience; or Bachelor’s with 3+ years; or Associate’s with 5 years; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes economic development for Highlands County.
• Oversees the annual budget.
• Identifies and solicits interest of targeted businesses.
• Markets Highlands County assets to attract new businesses.
• Manages economic development project management and site tours.
• Solves complex issues with interdepartmental collaboration.
• Researches economic information and analyzes proposals.
• Develops relationships with local and regional agencies and stakeholders.
• Maintains data on sector opportunities and supports studies and reports.
• Assists in recruitment of new businesses and supports retention initiatives.
• Identifies grant opportunities and supports data/maps for initiatives.
