Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Head of Drone Hardware to lead and scale a multi-disciplinary hardware engineering organization.

You will own the hardware roadmap, set architecture, and drive cross-functional collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and systems teams to deliver rugged, high-performance drone hardware. Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• 15+ years hardware engineering experience with 10+ years leading teams.
• Hands-on mechanical engineering and product design background.
• Experience driving hardware through full lifecycle with DF M/DFA.
• Experience in hardware test and validation methodologies.
• Proven track record building and scaling hardware organizations.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and scale a multi-disciplinary hardware engineering organization.
• Own the technical roadmap and architecture for drone hardware products.
• Set direction on tradeoffs between weight, strength, durability, and manufacturability.
• Drive projects from concept through high-volume production.
• Establish engineering processes to meet aggressive customer deadlines.
• Lead failure investigations and root-cause analysis for design improvements.
• Champion manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability across the team.
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineering managers and contributors.
• Collaborate with customers to align requirements and delivery timelines.
• Partner with autonomy, software, program management, and manufacturing leaders.
