Job Summary
Reporting to: President, Allegheny Health Network (AHN)
The Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) partners with key clinical and executive leadership at AHN and Highmark to drive digital health transformation, technological innovation, and workflow optimization to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and grow market share. This executive role requires visionary leadership, strategic planning, knowledge of healthcare technology, and effective budget management. The CDIO collaborates with Highmark Health and enGen to develop a care delivery platform encompassing digital health, virtual care, data analytics, and population health IT, aligned with Highmark Health’s Living Health Strategy and Clinical Model. Responsibilities include ensuring key technologies support outcomes aligned with the quintuple aim: Quality, Equity and Access, Experience, Affordability, and Sustainability.
The CDIO aims to establish national recognition in digital health by leveraging AI, virtual care, communication technologies, and predictive tools to meet these goals and identify market opportunities in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.

Required: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Master's degree, Clinical Informatics Fellowship, MD or DO
Experience
Required: 10+ years operational/IT leadership in hospitals, 5+ years virtual health delivery, 2+ years digital health product implementation, leadership in clinical and operational change, strong leadership skills.
Preferred: Experience with health plans, cybersecurity, digital health, and strategic execution.
Additional: Travel up to 25%, office-based role, physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds.
