Job summary

Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead the philanthropic program, set fundraising strategy, and cultivate major donors. You will report to the CEO and serve on the Senior Leadership Team, guiding annual operating needs, programmatic initiatives, and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Fundraising experience in arts/cultural institutions, museums, parks, or historic sites strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of regional philanthropy and major donors.
• Experience supervising development staff and contractors.
• Experience producing and directing fundraising events/galas.
• Experience with CRM fundraising database systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google tools.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy to grow operating, programmatic, and capital support.
• Lead external relations, donor engagement, and major gift stewardship.
• Oversee grant research, proposals, administration, and grant writing support.
• Plan capital fundraising for projects and capital campaigns.
• Lead and supervise the Development department staff and contractors.
• Represent the Partnership externally with the CEO, board, and community partners.
