Job summary

Columbia Business School in New York seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising strategy and to be the Dean's primary partner in philanthropy and alumni engagement. The CDO will oversee a ~50-person team across major/principal gifts, alumni relations, foundation relations, advancement services, and strategic communications with full budget responsibility.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead major gifts and philanthropy initiatives.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on fundraising strategy.
• Strong track record building donor pipelines and alumni networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school's fundraising strategy and campaigns.
• Oversee a team of about 50 professionals across units (major and principal gifts, alumni relations, foundations, advancement services, communications).
• Manage the department budget and collaborate with the Dean on philanthropic priorities.
