GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Chief Development Officer (CDO) leads the development and implementation of a multifaceted program encompassing grant making, fundraising, marketing, communications and community engagement. The CDO will be responsible for identifying and pursuing diverse funding streams to generate individual, corporate, community, and private foundation support for Whitney Young Health (WYH) and Equinox. The CDO will lead a team of professionals in donor relations, communications, public relations, marketing, events and volunteer management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Business or related healthcare/business field; seven (7) years of fundraising and marketing experience with demonstrated success in creating and executing development strategies; Five (5) years serving in a supervisory capacity; advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and donor software products. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in event planning and execution. Ability to work beyond normal business hours if needed. Good organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple assignments is required. Ability to work with senior level management and to self-direct one’s work on a daily basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate Degree in Relevant Field.

Salary range: $115,000 - $130,000 annually
