Job summary

The Perlman Music Program on the Upper West Side, NYC, seeks a dynamic Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and capital campaigns. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will drive a multi-year strategy, guide a four-person team, and partner with Trustees to secure transformational gifts and expand PMP’s impact.

With a focus on a $3.5M annual operation and a $60M capital campaign for campus enhancements, you will cultivate high-net-worth donors and senior leadership

Qualifications

• Proven success in building and expanding donor relationships over time.
• Experience designing and leading multi-year capital campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal communication with trustees, donors, artists and leadership.
• Ability to mentor and empower development teams.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead PMP’s fundraising strategy; grow annual support.
• Lead campaigns generating approximately $2.5M annually.
• Oversee donor stewardship and recognition programs.
• Plan and execute annual events such as a spring wine auction and a summer gala.
• Develop and grow PMP’s planned giving program.
• Engage the board and committees to achieve fundraising goals.
• Oversee grants and the development database; manage budget.
